Office Backstreet Boys

21 10 2009

I am SO DISAPPOINTED in myself for not having thought of doing this first. I mean, I’m a music blogger AND I work in an office all day! Dammit! Oh well, kudos youtuber sfeder331.

Lady GaGa – Imagine

14 10 2009

I really love Lady GaGa. Not only is she an amazing entertainer, but she just seems like a really cool chick. She’s different, but comfortable in her own skin and I love that. She recently performed at the Human Rights Campaign National Dinner and she did a rendition of John Lennon’s Imagine that gave me chills. She changed up some of the wording to make it more appropriate for today’s political climate and the event for which she was performing. It’s really, REALLY good. Please enjoy and thank youtuber Adikism for uploading.

Why Amanda Palmer Is Super Totally Awesome

13 10 2009

Other than the fact that she’s one of my favorite people to follow on Twitter, and is an amazing performer, there’s this video where she and Jason Webley cover Evelyn & Evelyn and Cyndi Lauper, AND make me laugh.

Grizzly Bear And Victoria Legrand Melt My Heart

7 10 2009

I’ve been having a lot of poor me, wah wah moments since I missed Grizzly Bear and Beach House in Chicago a couple of weeks ago. Who misses out on a two night bill? This girl.

Additionally, I’ve been hearing that the show is just ridiculously amazing from all of my friends who did buy tix in time. Luckily, some awesome fans have been posting awesome vids on youtube to help ease my pain. This one has to be my favorite of Grizzly Bear and Victoria Legrand (lead singer of Beach House) performing Slow Life, their duet for the upcoming Twilight: New Moon movie. Thanks to youtuber snivelttam for posting!
