In a sad farewell to our favorite weekly MixTapes, our last showdown will be dedicated to the holiday season. What? The holidays are TOTALLY sad and depressing! Just work with me here, folks, and enjoy.
Since I’m probably sunning myself on a beach with a fruity drink in hand as you read this, we have decided to dedicate this week’s MixTape Showdown to tropical music. Join Cooper in enjoying the cold weather and think of me chilling with the ocean as you listen to these mixes. Oh, and don’t forget to vote for your favorite!
The budz are taking a week off of the MixTape Showdown, so in the meantime, we have a mix from a soon-to-be roomie of one of the budz. As you will hear, this particular bud is in for some adult contemporary listening! Please welcome to our little blog, TNY!
In honor of the super awesome movie, MILK (out in theatres now- GO SEE IT!), this week’s MixTape Showdown is dedicated to the 1970′s. As always, vote for your favorite. Loser has to don bell bottoms, a tight button down, and an afro wig and dance to the Bee Gees down Clark Street on a Saturday night.
Cooper kicked Garvey’s a-hole! Wa-hooooey! Or, as the Thanksgiving turkey said, “Gobble gobble gobble please don’t eat me gobble gobble.” As promised, Loser Garvey ate an entire plate of Aunt Bethany’s jello mold. She then promptly threw up.
This week’s MixTape Showdown is just a random smattering of what’s been in our ears these days. Politics and discrimination have been on the forefront of our minds and emotions have been running high, so this week is a much needed week of relaxation and just enjoying our tunes. As a result, no winners or losers this week, though still feel free to vote so the winner can gloat to the loser all of next week.
MixTape Showdown winner in week three is… COOPER! Garnering her first MixTape Showdown win, Ms. Cooper hands Ms. Garvey the worst punishment of all… hours of nonstop GWB speeches. Ms. Garvey can’t complain, though, since she made the punishment up herself. On her win, Cooper had to say, “Yes we can. Thank goodness for Penn voters!”
