Pandora Profits In Recession

20 05 2009

What company goes from almost ten years of no profit, to turning a good profit in the midst of the worst recession of our lifetime? Why, Pandora of course! The interactive radio site’s founder, Tim Westergren, told Bloomberg on Monday that Pandora could make as much as $40 mil in revenue this year and will become profitable for the first time in company history next year. This will be in large part to an iPhone app that brings in something like 20,000 new users a day. I’m guessing Westergren will be sending the Steve’s an extra large fruit basket this Christmas.
